Design your Passepartout to your exact measurements

Match Passepartout, artwork, and frame to fit perfectly. In the configurator, you can instantly see how your measurements affect the border widths and the cut-out position.

Set the outer size and cut-out

First, enter the required outer size. As a rule, it is based on the inside size of your picture frame or the glass size. Then set the width and height of the image cut-out. To ensure the artwork can be securely mounted behind the Passepartout, the cut-out should be slightly smaller than the actual image size. Choose material, color, and surface

Depending on the intended use, you can choose from different board qualities and colors – from white-core grades to conservation board, museum board, and rag mat board. You’ll find a detailed comparison in our guide Quality differences in Passepartouts .

Light shades look subtle and give the artwork plenty of space. Dark or colored Passepartouts can enhance contrast and pick up colors from the image. Our material preview helps you choose. For color-critical projects, we recommend viewing our free color charts in advance.

Cut-out and design options

In addition to classic rectangular cut-outs, you can – depending on the selected option – choose other shapes and design features. Crease cuts, lines, or embossing give your Passepartout a distinctive look. For multiple images, suitable configurations with multiple cut-outs are available.
